Why did you create this site?
I am 64 years old and still believe in treating others fairly. This site was created to supply those who would like to dabble in a web business the information they need to get started without spending a lot of money and as clean and simple as possible. I would like to spare others some of the mistakes I have made.
Are there any other ways to generate traffic to my site?
TrafficSwarm is a free to join site. They use a point system which is kind of fun but it won't generate much traffic but you will see many sites and get some good ideas. For real traffic, you will have to pay.
What is a visit? Is that the same as a hit?
A visit occurs when someone actually loads your webpage. A hit is not necessarily a unique visit. Technically, a "hit" occurs whenever a file is loaded... when you loaded this page, you generated quite a few "hits" - one for each image you loaded and one for the page itself. In common usage, people are referring to visits when they talk about "hits". Look for traffickers that COUNT VISITS, NOT HITS.
Do you know of any good traffickers and what is the price?
The going price (at this writing) is about $2.00 per 1000 visits, depending on what you order. I've used Blazing Traffic and Zwoops They both give you a site to check your campaign progress. Some traffickers, however, play "techie tricks" to deliver "visitors". If you are willing to pay a little more, Better-web-site-Traffic will deliver 10,000 real targeted visitors (meaning visitors interested in what you have to offer) for about $30.
Where can I get more detailed information about making a web business profitable?
The banner to the left will take you the site that got me started. Admittedly he is obnoxious (not really), but he has a good no nonsense e-book for about $10.00. For another $10.00 you can get an audio version.
I am nervous about giving out my credit card number online. How do I handle this?
Take a look at PayPal. They are secure and widely accepted on the internet. You can use a credit card and/or access your bank account directly. For extra security, you could open a secondary account at your bank just for your business.
I have my site in place and I'm advertising but, I can't seem to generate any sales. What can I do?
That's a tough one. My suggestion would be to do a search on your niche and see what the most popular sites are doing. That should give you some ideas.

First create a banner, try bannercreator.nu . They have a free online creator. Download your banner and put it in a public directory on your host site (I use "resources"). You can modify the following code for use on any site to display your banner:
